Our Internet has been out for a few days, so I’m finally able to catch up on what’s been going on.

Nothing much.

Susan and I finished “Bleak House” from BBC. I’m a sucker for BBC or any Theatre that involves Masterpiece and hero doctors with nice brown eyes. In fact, I’m pretty sure I’ll be swindled by the first con man who talks about Lobster and Lettuce and threatens to pepper me. I don’t know what any of that means.

We hosted Christmas II and it was celebrated by some current pals, old Plan 9 employees, and stray cats. The food was excellent. I had too much wine right away so the first hour was just drunk Kelly alone in a hot kitchen making turkey. However, it made for the best Christmas ever. Not only did I have amazing green bean casserole, but my friend Palmer vowed to avenge any violent crimes that may be committed against me. Not many guys would do that.

I’ve been spending most of my free time heading a campaign to teach pedestrian safety to the stragglers in my neighborhood. Lesson one: unless you just gave birth on the street, keep your baby off the road.
